Member of the Week: Gavin Loberg

Gavin Loberg began riding dirt bikes at the age of 7, and began racing D23 ARMCA Enduros and Hare Scrambles at the age of 10. Gavin then began to take racing seriously a few years later, and clinched three championships in 2020. This year he competed in 200 A, and plans to move up to AA in Enduro and 250 A in Hare Scrambles in 2023. Gavin proudly finished 3rd overall at the Duquette Enduro this year, and strives to win an overall in an Enduro next year. Gavin also hopes to compete on a national level in GNCC and National Enduros, to compete against strong competition and show how his riding compares.

Gavin believes racing has made him a stronger, calmer, more focused person. Riding is his escape from reality, a place where he can forget his troubles and leave it all on the track. On race day, Gavin snacks on Goldfish crackers, and enjoys quality time with his closest friends. In addition to riding and racing, Gavin enjoys mountain biking, fishing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, trap shooting, and nearly anything outdoors. Once advised to be patient and focus on proper form, Gavin studies YouTube to implement proper technique on the track. Finally, Gavin encourages other D23 ARMCA members to simply follow their dreams.
