Member of the Week: Spencer Wallace
Written By: Jackie Riess
Spencer Wallace began racing motocross at 7 years old and continued competing until he was in middle school. Though he had a brief hiatus from racing through high school, he picked up the sport again after graduation. Spencer competed in his first race back at a Motokazie race in Jordan, and he now competes in the Open C and 14-24 C classes. Spencer’s greatest racing accomplishment was winning 2 Motokazie Supercross championships in 2021, and he has goals of defending these titles this year. Spencer also strives to finish in the top 5 in both the D23 ARMCA motocross series and the Spring Creek Super Series this season. And as for the long term, he one day hopes to take to the track at the Loretta Lynn’s Amateur Motocross National.
Spencer is inspired by top pro riders like James Stewart and Ryan Dungey, but he is also inspired by those who have supported him the most. After a close family friend passed before the 2021 season, Spencer knew he could push his limits and compete to the best of his abilities in his honor. This strong sense of community and support in motocross is what keeps him coming back to the races. Spencer is truly thankful for the many families that have supported his return to racing.
In addition to riding and racing, Spencer enjoys playing softball and hockey, and of course some good tunes. Once advised to have fun and enjoy dirt biking, Spencer encourages other D23 ARMCA members to do the same, as well as take a moment to appreciate all they have in the racing community.
