Member of the Week: Ike Anderson
Written By: Jackie Riess
Ike Anderson began his motocross career on mini bikes three years ago. He then joined D23 ARMCA and competed in a handful of motocross races in 2021, and has competed nearly every weekend this summer. Ike now competes in two of the 85cc classes, and is proud of his progression on the track. Though he is new to racing, he is proud to no longer be in the back of the pack and often finds himself in the top ten. After his quick progression this year, Ike has hopes of qualifying for the Loretta Lynn’s Regional in 2023, and strives for podium finishes in local racing. Ike continues to race in D23 ARMCA because of the strong competition and the opportunities racing provide for growth on and off the track.
Fueled by dance parties, Mac ’n’ Cheese, and sugar-free blue Gatorade, Ike is always excited to hit the track. In addition to motocross, Ike enjoys jumping bicycles, building model moto tracks, going tubing on the lake, and playing football. Ike advises other D23 ARMCA members to ride at their own pace and stay within their comfort zone on the track.
