Member of the Week: Corey Danberry
Written By: Jackie Riess
Corey Danberry is a life-long D23 ARMCA member, and has competed in everything from Hill Climb, to Motocross, to his current passion, Hare Scrambles. Corey proudly won the 2021 30+ A Hare Scrambles Championship, and learned many lessons about bike set up, riding technique, and preparation for endurance racing. Though Corey wants to win more in the future, his biggest goal is to improve himself on and off the track to become a better overall racer. Corey continues to race in D23 ARMCA because of the high caliber events and the incredible community that attends them and helps prepare for them.
Corey is inspired most by his friends and fellow competitors, and finds motivation in being surrounded by people with similar goals. Motorcycling has greatly impacted his life, and keeps him motivated to be the best version of himself. Motorcycling has also allowed Corey to travel to beautiful places and create valuable relationships along the way. In addition to riding and racing, Corey enjoys mountain biking, road cycling, and anything outdoors.
Corey advises other D23 ARMCA members to keep an open mind and try something new, “even if that means going into it by yourself.” He also suggests asking questions from more experienced riders, as “everyone was a beginner at some point.”
