I’m hoping the following addresses and fixes those problems.

Things to look at:
1. What browser are you using (Internet Explorer (IE), Firefox, Chrome are the more popular “flavors”)?

2. If you are using IE, what version are you using?
FYI – If you are using IE that is 7 or earlier, there are going to be issues. You will need upgrade to 8 or 9.

3. If you are using IE 8 or 9, you may need to turn off Compatibility View. If you aren’t sure if it is turned on, you can click on View (menu bar). If there is a checkmark next to it, click Compatibility View. If there isn’t, you don’t need to do anything.

Directions for the ftp site:

Find the photo which you would like to submit. Copy the photo and paste it onto your desktop or into your documents.

  1. Right-click the photo and choose ‘rename’. The name of the photo will appear in a box with the old name highlighted. Type your first name, and underscore (‘shift’ ‘-‘), and your last name and press enter. The name of the photo will then appear as john_doe.xxx.
  2. NOTE! You must rename your photo with your first and last name in order to have your photo appear in the banquet book. ARMCA/D23 board members will make no attempt at guessing which photo goes with which rider if the photo does not have the rider’s first and last names.
  3. Open MS Internet Explorer
  4. Log onto the ftp site by clicking ftp.armca.org and using the following information:
  5. Username = armca
  6. Password = D23photos
  7. Click on Page (this is on the menu bar that is on the upper right hand side of the window)
  8. Select ‘Open FTP site in windows explorer’ (at the bottom of the drop down menu)
  9. Copy your photo from your desktop to the open ftp site window.
  10. When the copying is complete, review the files in the window to ensure your photo was successfully copied. The file could appear at the very beginning, very end, or somewhere in the middle of the files in the window.
  11. Close the window
  12. Close Internet explorer
